Texas is facing a severe lack of native plants and seeds in the landscaping and gardening industry. Cross Timbers Nursery was founded to help change that.

We believe our landscapes can be more than beautiful- they can become thriving ecosystems that support native wildlife, conserve water, and preserve the natural heritage of Texas that is quickly disappearing. The best way to make that happen is simple: plant native.

Based in the sandy East Cross Timbers region of North Texas, we specialize in native plants adapted to the United States with a particular focus on Texas species, especially overlooked and hard-to-find species. Our mission is to provide these native plants and seeds that you won't find at big-box garden centers, making it easier for homeowners, landscapers, and conservationists to restore the landscapes around them.

Cross Timbers Nursery is also a conservation garden. We grow and plant as many native species as possible to test their landscaping potential, provide wildlife habitat and beauty, and for seed collection to reduce stress on local plant populations.
