Engelmann's Milkvetch is a relatively rare and attractive groundcover legume native from Texas into the Arkansas Ozarks. It is found in open prairies, open oak or pine woodlands, and savannahs on sand, limestone, clay, or shale substrates. This plant makes a great attractive native groundcover for the home garden or restoration project as a front border of a garden bed, along trail sides, in sunny areas, or woodland openings. Tolerant of harsh or dry soils.
