Clasping Coneflower is a hardy annual coneflower that is perfect for kickstarting a native garden or filling in difficult areas. Easy to grow and adaptable but is best in moist, well-drained areas. Mulching helps retain moisture. The flowers are visited by a wide range of butterflies and bees. The stems and foliage are smooth and waxy. Native to the Midwest prairies down to Texas
Germination: Surface sow, light aids in germination. Direct sow in late Fall or Spring, or indoors about 8-10 weeks before last frost at 60-70f.
