Salvia whitehousei is a very rare plant native to West Texas in arid environments. It is phenomenally attractive, very drought tolerant, and is loved by pollinators, especially moths. The leaves have a great minty scent when crushed. The flowers are many and range from white to lavender to pink and purples. It has a nice compact form that is great for small gardens with sun.
Perfect for arid climates, rock gardens, dry borders, or anywhere with high sunlight and well-draining soil. Prefers sandy, rocky, or gravelly soils.
