Phemeranthus parviflorus, also called Rock Pink, is very similar to P. rugospermus. This species has slightly smaller flowers and a larger range across the US.

Native Habitat: Texas Hill Country Ecotype, Llano County. The species as a whole occurs in sandy or sandy clay soils, rock outcrops; distributed throughout most of Texas; found from Arkansas, Texas and Arizona, north to Minnesota.

Germination: Direct sow in Fall on soil surface, or place in moist paper towel/sand in ziploc and refrigerate for 60 days
