Hard to find Texas Native seeds!
Snake Apple is a unique native vine that naturally climbs up trees, shrubs, and fences, lighting up the Texas plains with their ornamental deep red-orange globe fruits like ornaments on a Christmas tree. The leaves also have a unique shape that is of great ornamental value! This vine is fantastic for dry shade to part-shade gardens, but also fruits better with more sun exposure. Ibervillea lindheimeri is a great food source for fruit-eating birds and the flowers are good for nectar-seeking insects.
