Lindheimer's Morning Glory Seeds (Ipomoea lindheimeri) Native Perennial Morning Glory

Lindheimer's Morning Glory is superior to all the non-native, invasive morning glories for several reasons. This is a *perennial*, hardy morning glory, coming back year after year with more and more blooms. It is very drought tolerant thanks to its root/tuber that stores water and nutrients. It's large, 2-3" blooms range from sky blue to light purple and are very attractive.
Ipomoea lindheimeri grows in rocky ground, especially in draws, ravines, and stream bottoms. It is found from the Edwards Plateau to the Trans-Pecos region of Texas.

Germination: Lightly scarify the hard seed-coat with a nail clipper or file and soak overnight or 24-48hrs, until the seed imbibes water. Sow just below soil surface in warm, moist (not wet, soggy) well-draining soil.
