Datura wrightii, also known as Sacred Datura, is a captivating and enigmatic plant native to the southwestern United States and Mexico.

This annual herb boasts large, trumpet-shaped flowers that open at dusk, revealing a mesmerizing beauty. The flowers are typically white or pale pink, often adorned with delicate purple veins. The plants can become large bushes with tons of large trumpet flowers. Sacred Datura has a rich cultural history, revered by indigenous peoples for its medicinal and spiritual properties. However, it's important to note that all parts of the plant are highly toxic and should be handled with extreme caution

Growing Requirements:

Sun: Full sun  
Soil: Well-draining soil  
Water: Moderate watering, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings
Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures  
Fertilizer: Low-nitrogen fertilizer can be applied occasionally
Pruning: Not necessary, but deadheading can encourage more blooms

Seed Germination:
Sow 2-4 weeks before last frost and transplant after frost, or direct-sow after frost
Soak: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting (optional)
Planting Depth: Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in well-draining soil.
Temperature: Germination occurs best at temperatures between 70-80°F (21-27°C) and sometimes higher temps
