It features extremely attractive scarlet-red tubular flowers and blue-green cupped foliage that catches water, acting as a little water reservoir for birds. Water: Low; excellent drought tolerance
Zones: USDA 5b–9
Germination: Sow seeds in late Fall in well-draining sandy, or gravelly soil to naturally cold-stratify. Or seeds can be artificially stratified by placing seeds in moist sand in ziploc or ventilated seed tray and put in refrigerator for around 60-90 days
